I’m kind of crabby today.
So watch out!
It started at 5:30 this morning.
I’ll give you two guesses as to why.
Give up?
He’s about 2 feet tall and has blonde hair.
Turbo is his name.
And not sleeping is his game.
I’ve got my hands full with this one I tell ya.
This last weekend I was able to start-up a crafty project and I finished it today.
I was pretty excited to do it too, because it meant that I could make some pretty on our front door to make it more inviting.
My original inspiration came from a monogrammed “wreath“, I really wanted to make it but after not being able to find the size or type of letter I wanted, I opted for a ring wreath with our initial on it.
You’ll want to gather your materials. I used a styrofoam wreath ring, some yarn ( I chose a color that would best accent the colors on my house being as this will be like an everyday wreath), initial of your last name, and any little trinkets you want to put on there. Oh and some way of adhering them to your wreath. I used a glue gun. Lastly some means of holding it up, whether it be a ribbon or something else.
For the initial I just used a wooden letter you can find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby or your local crafty store. I painted it kind of an egg-shell white, it’s Americana’s Light Buttermilk color.
The first thing you want to do is grab that yarn and start wrapping it around your ring. Very fun activity let me tell you. I plopped myself in front of the TV and watched Harry Potter while doing it. I felt like an old lady stringing that thing around.
Once that is completed you’ll want to take your initial and trinkets and place them on your wreath. I set them up to see what they would look like before I glued them down.
Once you’ve figured that out, glue them down.
The next thing I did was to get some ribbon and I wrapped it around the top part there where I wrapped the yarn around funny because I ran out of space on the bottom of it but not on the top (this might happen to you) and then I took some more ribbon to make a hoop for it so it can be hung up.
I need to shorten the ribbon a bit.
But you get the idea.
Now go make one for yourself!
